KLL offers the following information on concussions for all its coaches, assistant coaches and team managers. This particular training resource has been developed by Dr. Shelina Babel, Associate Director/Sports Injury Specialist with the BC Injury Research and Prevention Unit and BC Children’s Hospital (cattonline.com). Please review carefully.

At the coaches’ meeting in March of each year, the following Concussion Awareness Training Tool (CATT) Course for Coaches will be introduced.

This CATT Course for Coaches is free, 45-minutes long and provides useful education on concussions. The training is comprised of a Preassessment, 5 short modules each ending with a simple Learning Check, and a Final Assessment.

Effective 2022, each KLL team requires that at least one KLL coach, assistant coach and/or team manager complete the online educational tool, , but we continue to encourage all KLL coaches, assistant coaches and team managers to do the training.

Upon the successful completion of this CATT course for coaches, participants will receive a certificate. Please also email a copy of your CATT certificate to SAFETY for our records. Thank you.
