Preschool - 4-5 Year Olds (Little League Age Chart)

The Blastball program is designed for Preschoolers who are playing a team sport for the first time. This is a fun and active program that focuses on skill development and an introduction to the basic concepts of baseball including throwing, catching, hitting off a tee, running and teamwork.

The season will follow the popular “Intro to Baseball” format.  Volunteer Parent Coaches are provided weekly lesson plans and league supported training throughout the season.

There are likely 6-9 players per team. Friend requests are permitted and encouraged at this age group, and we do our best to accommodate friend requests.

Every child will receive a Team T-shirt, individualized participation medal, and a professional team photo during the season.

**Players may choose to play T-Ball if they have played Blastball the previous year**

Blastball Schedule

One hour per week.  Tournament on Closing Day in June (Saturday)

Tuesday or Wednesday evenings from 5:00-6:00 pm*.

Parent Commitment / Volunteering

Blastball is NOT a drop-off activity, a parent must stay at the park for the duration of each session.

  • Team Duties Required - Each parent is required to help out with their child's game on a rotating basis. The duties include bench parent and snack duty (team dependent).  Duties will be assigned by the team manager at the beginning of the season and training can be provided if required.
  • League Duties Required - In addition, each parent is required to assist with at least 2 hours of league-wide duties during the season, which may include Opening Day, Closing Day, Field Maintenance, Uniforms, Equipment, Board/Committee Roles, or other Special Event support.  Coach, Assistant Coach and Team Manager qualify for both Team and League Duties.

Your commitment is appreciated and makes our league run.
