Want to participate in your local community? Become a sponsor for Kerrisdale Little League and support youth in your area.
Kerrisdale Little League is a volunteer run organization. We require every family to do their part so that all our children can play baseball.
The volunteer sign-up sheet will open for the spring season in early March. Registered families will be informed by email when the volunteer sign-up sheet is open . To signup for your volunteer hours, the signup sheet can be accessed through here.
Key Roles: Vitally important roles include coaching, team managing, and serving as coordinators of various activities and events. Without enough people to fill these roles, the League cannot operate, and baseball will not happen. Therefore, we request that every family seriously consider volunteering for one of these key positions. You may volunteer for these roles at the time of registration, or by contacting the President at email@example.com.
Team-Based Roles: All families are required to do team-based roles such as helping to set up the field for games, being a bench parent, bringing snack, and, in the older divisions, learning to keep score. Your Team Manager will assign these roles on a rotational basis and families are expected to complete them.
League-Wide Roles: In addition to team-based roles, there are many league-wide roles such as helping at Opening Day or Closing Day, helping to maintain the fields, and helping to organize equipment and uniforms. All families are expected to volunteer at least once over the season in one of these roles. Sign-up for these roles is done through an online sign-up system which is emailed to all registered families before the start of the season.
Many families volunteer a great many hours coaching, team managing, or serving on the Board of Directors so that all our children can play baseball. Please ensure that the work of running Kerrisdale Little League is distributed fairly by volunteering your time as well.
