T-Ball Division

5 - 6 year olds (usually for Kindergartens)

T-Ball is an introduction for children to learn to play baseball.  This fun program focuses on continued skill development and learning game play.  Skills developed include: Throwing, Catching, Hitting off a tee, Running and Teamwork.

The 2020 Season will follow the popular “Intro to Baseball” format introduced last year with a fixed schedule.  During the weekly Practice Sessions, Team Coaches are provided lesson plans and league supported coach assistance.  Practices are all teams together with rotating skill building stations.

Games will be played on Saturdays on a rotating schedule.  Every player bats every inning and is encouraged to try all fielding positions.  The ball is placed on a tee rather than pitched. No scores or standings are kept at this age group.

There are 8-10 players on each team.  A Team shirt (uniform) is provided. Friend requests are permitted and we do our best to accommodate at least one friend request per player.

Player Commitment

Season starts week of April 6, 2020 and ends June 13, 2020.

2 sessions per week:

-       1 Practice on Wednesday evenings at 6:00-7:00 pm

-       1 Game on Saturday afternoon at 1:30pm or 2:30pm (confirmed time will be sent by the Team Manager by April 1st)

There are no sessions on the Easter and May long weekends.

Each team will have two "make up games" for Easter and May Long on a Monday or Tuesday night.

Parent Commitment

Each parent is required to help out with their child's game on a rotational basis.  The duties include bench parent and snack duties for the Saturday game sessions.  Duties will be assigned by the team manager at the beginning of the season.  Training can be provided if required.  Your commitment is appreciated and helps make our league run more smoothly.

T-Ball Field Location

All practices and games will be played at Maple Grove Park (6800 Balsam Street).
