Mini Minor Division - (formerly T-Ball Grade 1)

6-7 year olds (born in 2010 or in grade 1)

Your 6-7 year old will be introduced to more basic concepts of baseball such as “outs” and will learn to hit the ball from a slow-pitching machine, using softer baseballs. A batting tee will be provided after a predetermined number of attempts to hit from the pitching machine. All players are in the batting order, and field; and every inning each team will hit through the order. No scores or standings are kept.

Player Commitment

*New for the 2017 season*

Teams will have sessions twice weekly, one hour each. Sessions will consist of a combination of practices and short games against other Mini Minor teams on the same field. On each team, there are 8 - 10 players. Friend requests are permitted, and we do our best to accommodate at least one friend request per player. You will have the option of registering for either Monday and Wednesday sessions, OR Tuesday and Thursday sessions.

Parent Commitment

Mini Minor is NOT a drop-off activity. An adult must stay at the park for the duration of each session. Parents will be placed on a rotational schedule to help with duties such as field prep and keeping the players in line on the bench.

*If your child is new to baseball and born in 2010, you still have the option of registering them in T-Ball.

*If your child has played 2 years of T-Ball but is not born in 2008 or 2009, and you would like your child to move up to Minor B, please send the Mini Minor Division coordinator an email. Your child will be assessed by a KLL coach to be considered for Minor B if space permits.

Mini Minor Field Location

All of the Mini Minor games and practices are held at the Maple Grove South Diamond.
