Important:
KLL 2013 Mandatory Pre-season Assessment Information for all KLL Players
wishing to play Minor A and Majors divisions:
Before starting the season KLL must evaluate ALL new and returning players
wanting to play in Minor A and the Majors so they can be drafted onto
teams in their respective divisions. Only players wishing to play Minor A, and Majors need to
evaluate.If you're unsure if your child needs
to assess, please directly contact Renata

assessments help us to place your child appropriately. Please bring your player
dressed in suitable clothing with good running shoes (no baseball cleats) and
don’t forget required batting helmet and baseball glove. Assessment dates are posted below,
times to come after registration closes on Jan 15. Please see below.
Pre-Season Assessments: what to expect:
Independent assessors will run the stations and rank the players in the following areas:
- Pitching
- Throwing and Fielding (catching, but not fly balls)
- Batting, with bunting added for the Majors players
KLL Minor A and Majors coaches will observe.
For Minor B players hoping to move up to Minor A, these assessments are required. For parents and players new to the assessment process, please be assured that assessments are not try-outs. Once all the players have been accessed, the assessors submit the players' scores to the League, which will then use the scores to determine draft position, suitability of players for respective divisions, and team balancing. For those assessing for a Majors in your first year for Majors, if not drafted to a Majors team you will be drafted to a Minor A team. For those Minor B players assessing for Minor A, decisions are not made until after the Majors draft at which point it is known how much space in Minor A is available for the Minor B players wishing to move up.

Please see below what day and time your child will attend, depending on the division your child has registered in or is hoping to be drafted into.
To help move your child through the assessment process quickly (estimated time 40 minutes per player) we have divided player groups alphabetically into designated time slots. These are fixed times and KLL is unfortunately unable to accommodate changes. KLL has hired independent assessors to run the sessions with KLL Coaches observing. Please arrive 10 minutes before your assigned time slot to check in. Thank you for your cooperation and understanding.
